prices for point to point travel in Italy

Help. Trying to work on our budget. Have tried Railsaver (quotes in US $$), and Trenitalia, but can't seem to get quotes in Euros for point to point travel in Italy. I've even registered for Trenitalia, but that didn't seem to help. Any suggestions?

Where are you going? First or second class? ES trains or not? They are not that much unless you have multiple legs.

Good old Bob the Navigator! We will travel 2nd class. Roma to Firenze, Firenze to La Spezia (C.T.), C.T. to Venezia. Not ES trains, probably IC. Last time I had a rail pass and just showed up at the train station and caught whatever train (except ES). We are just tring to get an idea. Thanks.

I would budget 70E each for IC travel.
Yes, I am both old and good.

I had no trouble getting prices from Trenitalia. On the main English page enter the departure and arrival cities. When you get the list of trains, click the shopping cart beside the connection you want.

Hi Dana,

It's even quicker if you click the number of the train you want (far left column), usually.
