Prague hotels
 

Hi, I'm looking for a hotel in Prague near the sights for 4 nights. Just starting my research and don't know the areas well, but I'm thinking probably near the Old Town..unless there are better ideas. Price range between $100-$200. Thanks

We just got back from Prague and stayed at Archibald at Charles Bridge and would recommend.

Rooms are a good size and the location is fantastic, right near the bridge. Breakfast was also good, quite a bit to chose from.

Our room had a view of the bridge.

Easy walking distance to all the attractions.

Archibald at the Charles Bridge is a great suggestion, I often visit the restaurant there for a meal when in the city, that area is a nice calm place right in the centre.Archibald have a sister hotel just of Wenseslas Square
I am in Prague several times a year( just back 2 days ago) and stay in the Dejvice area of the city, but I don't spend a of of time in the city centre .
Prague has a superb public transport system that is cheap and easy to use so worth considering places away from the centre, more bang for your buck.
Have a look at booking.com and toy can look at the various areas and prices.
when I first visited Prague many years ago I liked to stay in or near the centre and stayed in hotel Chopin (Now the Exe park)and the hotel Pav as well as an apartment in Husova which I booked through Travelcook.
your budget will give you lots of options

Hotel de Paris.

We were in Prague for 4 nights in 2014 and stayed in the Hotel Trinidad Prague Castle. It was just about 100 metres from the Manesuv bridge which connects Mala Strana from the Old Town and overlooks the Charles Bridge. There were lots of restaurants in the area and we could walk everywhere. It was an olde worlde hotel but was comfortable and clean with big rooms. Would definitely stay again. Had a great view of the castle from there as well. The Old Town gets very busy and we found that to be a great alternative. Good Tip: Get up early in the morning and take a walk down to the river to see the swans and then walk over the Charles Bridge just as the sun is getting up. No crowds - it was awesome!! (We booked our hotel through Booking.com)

We stayed in the hotel ibis old town several years ago. Great location. Next to palladium mall and easy walk to all sites. Price is excellent and hotel is kept extremely clean. Basic utilitarian furnishing.

They arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport. I had to call them from Frankfurt to let them know we were delayed, and they came through for us. A car was waiting when we arrived late.

The breakfast is excellent. No extra charge for espressos & cappucinos. There was a good selection of fresh fruit, pastries, meats, and cheese. I think my husband was able to make waffles.

The front desk staff are very helfpful. They all speak perfect English and will sell you Tram tickets if you need them. And they will explain which tram you need to get on, etc.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. The food is superb. We ate lunch outside one afternoon and dinner the first night we arrived.

I can't recommend this place more highly. Everything is within easy walking distance, or an easy walk to the tram.
