Prague Hotel Recommendations

Hello,

I’m looking for some recommendations on hotels in Prague. I’m sure many of you have been there and can guide me.

Here’s generally what I’m looking for:

- City center
- Three star, mid-grade hotel (always subject to interpretation, I know)
- A comfortable place to sleep, don’t care about a restaurant or bar
- Priced around 70 USD, 55 EU, 50 GPB, 1450 CZK

This would be for two people, probably in July, if that matters or helps. Many thanks!

That may be a challenging budget for three stars in the city center. Do you need three stars? Which hotel amenities do you require? (The star rating generally indicates the number and type of amenities, not necessarily quality, of a hotel.) How many days? Would you consider an apartment?

Try Hotel Inos. I have no personal experience with it, but Tripadvisor ranks it fairly high and indicates a possible budget-friendly rate.

Think apartment. E-mail Pasquale. He has a couple of apartments in Old Town, although nothing that inexpensive.

You could try Priceline. We're going to Prague in June and just got the four star Moevenpick Hotel for 55E a night. We may have bid too high, because someone just got it for 42E a night, but different dates. The hotel is a little out of center, but has good transportation connections. If interested, go to biddingfortravel.com for instructions on how to bid.

I'm staying at the Hotel Rott in the city center in May. Rate was higher than what you're looking for - 77E. When I was searching, I didn't see any hotels three stars or more in your the price range. Try Tripadvisor.com to check for hotels and rates...

A few years ago we stayed at Pension U Sv Jana. It's a nice little hotel that was originally used, back in 1906, as a vicarage. It was super clean, very comfortable and a pretty good breakfast was included in the room. It wasn’t far from the center of town but a little walk. The metro station was close and there was a really good restaurant across the street. At the time, the menus were only in Czech but the food was great.

Hotel U Sv. Jana, Vysehradska 28 street, Prague 2

I booked Dahlia Inn for an upcoming trip in May. It isn't exactly in the main tourist area, but from the map, it looks close enough (able to walk) and close to public transport.
Don't know how it is like, since I have yet to stay there. But you can check for reviews on Tripadvisor
Am paying 59 euro/night for 2 pax (without breakfast). Their website is www.dahliainn.com

We booked the Residence Mala Strana on Melnicka through booking.com. We prepaid and got a rate of 50 Euro/night including breakfast which was quite a bit cheaper than every other hotel I contacted--

Hallo, me and my friends, we stayed at Hostel U Melounu. I know, its not a 3 star hotel, but there is not so many differences.. You can have your own room, the most beautiful are the rooms in the garden. The price is like 26 euros for person per night including breakfast in a very nice breakfast room.. Staff also very nice and helpfull.. And its in the centre, close to the Wenceslas sq... You should check out their websites: www.hostelumelounu.cz..
Have fun in Prague
