Hubby and I stayed at Hotel Century Old Town Prague last month. http://www.mgallery.com/gb/hotel-344...on/index.shtml It is about a ten-minute walk to the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. They had a nice indoor/outdoor breakfast. The air conditioning in our room did not work well, even after calling the front desk to make sure we were doing everything correctly. September should be a better time to go. June was very hot!
One night, we ate at Konírna Restaurant and had the delicious Malostranský mega skewer for two people (shish kabob) and vanilla crème brulee according to the old French recipe for dessert. http://www.konirna.eu/cs/ Prague is the most beautiful place that I have ever been to! |
Four days will give you time to see several areas depending on how much walking your husband can do.
Here is a hotel that is and block and a half from Charles Bridge and two blocks fron the Old Town Square www.aurushotel.cz I was in Cologne a few weeks ago,..lovely place. |
Oh yes , here is a good website for what to do day by day in Prague.

There is a big Bata shoe shop on Wenseslas square, also the huge Pladium Shopping center at Namesti Republiky should keep you busy, huuby might like to leave you to it and go for a beer in the bars /resturants on the top foor

Cindy, I'll be there right before you. I'll be following this thread to see what suggestions you get for shoe shopping. ;)

Candy: Ditto for Paladium Shopping Center, plus, Paladium has the most fun y bathrooms for men, with great pósters at the walks, really funny.

Good advice from unclegus
Nothing like letting the wife shop and leave hubby to sip a few cool ones.!!! :) |
Is Prague a good place to buy shoes? We will be there early September

"Is Prague a good place to buy shoes? We will be there early September"
Well, who knows what you are used to!. Prague certainly has shoes, all major cities do. It doesn't begin to compare even slightly with places like Paris, etc., though. |
Um, does your hubby also like to shop for women's shoes?
;-) Wouldn't call Prague foodie heaven. Here's the complete list of the top 100 restaurants in the world whose cuisine is rooted in Bohemian tradition: ___. Check the Prague Post and Timeout.com for suggestions. Stay in Old Town. It's relatively flat and the center of Prague tourism. Take a cab to the Castle area - even the tram and the train will leave you with an uphill walk that would be uncomfortable for him. |
