Prague Crystal

We were in Prague about a month ago and visited the glass shops of Praha Blue. For a variety of reasons, we did not purchase anything, but would now like to do so. Yes, they will ship from Prague, but does anyone know of someone in the US who carries their merchandise?

Sorry, are they actually a manufacturer,or only a retail shop?
If a manufacturer, I think your best bet would be to email or call them and inquire about retail outlets in the US.

As I recall, those numerous Blue stores are simply vendors..they do not manufacture as I recall.

I have had them send several glass shipments to me over the past several years but I was always THERE to pick out the items. What with the cost of shipping AND the insurance (and I would strongly recommend you NOT engage in this sort of thing without insurance...I've had shipments delayed/lost in the past) sometimes the final prices aren't that much different than what you can sometimes find in the US.

I am sorry I cannot provide you with either telephone numbers or an e-mail address.

I don't think they are a manufacturer, of course, just a store, but I think they do have some items that are custom-ordered by them for their stores from local manufacturers. SOrt of private label idea like many stores do (although I don't recall if they put their name on the label). It's a fun shop for gifts and souvenirs.

I don't think they are big enough to be selling in US stores, though, or that they even do have a label to export. It's a retail shop owned by a British consortium of investors. They buy some of their products from Crystalex, a wellknown Czech crystal company and producer who does export. Of course, they might not have the particular designs that Blue Praha ordered, but it's their stuff (the crystal, anyway).
