prague budapest vienna
I'm planning a trip to these 3 cities from July 29 to August 8. Where can I find a schedule of concerts (classical, jazz)?
Thanks. |
Hi,
For Budapest, try: http://www.budapestinfo.hu/en/ If you click on "Programmes Selection" and then "Important Programmes and Festivals", you will see that there is the Budapest Summer Music Festival while you will be there. There are also links to other websites from there that might help. Karen |
Thanks! I'll check it out.

For information regarding cultural events in Vienna, take a look at this website: www.wien.gv.at. It lists concerts, operas, dance performances, theater.... We also will be in Vienna in August and have used this website to plan our evenings.

I am performing in a chamber music festival in Prague (July 25 - August 7)
Website: http://www.ameropa.org/schedule.html Post back if you have any questions or want more info about it. The Prague Post will list many cultural events the week of. For most summer events, you can get tickets the day of, or a few days before. The regular season usually requires buying tickets well in advance. |
For Vienna you can check the following link (classic)
http://www.musikverein.at/overview/e/indexMV.html |
For Prague try the Prague Post, an English Internet paper published weekly it may be of help to you.

Here's a site that gives info for all three cities (as well as all over the world):
http://whatsonwhen.com/ All three cities have wonderful opera, concerts, chamber music, etc. You should have no problem finding wonderful music possibilities. Incidentally, the Jazz Boat in Prague might be of interest to you: www.jazzboat.cz There are additional jazz listings as well as other types of music on: http://www.praguetourist.com/enter/uvod.htm We visited all three cities last year and it was one of our best European vacations! |
