Prague Apartment Recommendation

Going to Prague in June. Since there'll be 5 of us, I figured it would be cheaper to stay in an apartment/pension instead of booking 2 rooms in a hotel. Any suggestions or recommendations on apartments in the city center?

How do you know unless the look at the cost of hotel rooms first?

I used http://www.travel.cz and got an apartment at 45 Spalena (across Tesco). My British neighbors did the same, there were 5 of them in an apartment with 2 bedrooms and a fold-out couch. It was very cheap and we liked being near Tesco! Also, it's slightly away from the tourist center (10 minute walk maybe?) so it was not so congested. It was a very short walk to the national theatre and some of the black light theatres, and the restaurants/shops in the area were a lot cheaper with better quality food.

I have been very happy working with the Athos travel agency - - www.a-prague.com or www.athos.cz - - we are staying in two apartments called "Zatec" next week. We'll be back after May 23 and let you know how we liked them.

Best wishes,

Rex
