Prague and Budapest

My husband and I are going to Prague and Budapest in July and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how best to experience the hot springs/spas and the Danube - boat tour, private boat?? And anything that is wonderful and not to be missed in either place.

There's a very nice boat tour of the Danube in Budapest. You get headphones and plug into the language you want- lots of good information and interestingly presented. I don't remember exactly where you get it, but probably near the main shopping street. I wasn't wild about Budapest otherwise, but do go to the wave pool at the big hotel Gellert.
In the Czech Republic, where you want to go is Karlovy Vary- a short train ride from Prague. You can get spa treatments there with the famous curative waters that had Europeans flocking there in the 1800s

The Szechenyi baths in the City Park is wonderful. We had a blast there. I would visit the Terror Museum, the Synangogue, the St. Istvan Basilica, Castle Hill, Godollo to see the castle, Szentendre and visit the skanzen that has buildings from all over Hungary. If you need some quiet time, take a walk on Margit island. There's a spa there but I didn't go there. Take a tour of the parliament building. Take a train to Szentendre and then a boat tour back to Budapest....Go to visit Visegrad and Estergom. Take a wine tasting at the house of wines on Castle Hill...It'a great town. Enjoy it.

Hello! May be will be not too late...
We drive from Prague to Budapest and we spent here almost 1 week. We really felt in love with this wonderful CITY! I could suggest a LEGENDA boat tour (2100 HUF) at night hours. You will be impressed how is beautiful Budapest!
Our favorite was RUDAS Turkish bath. Its not that touristic than GELLERT. Great experience!
Our "first touch" with Budapest was with the apartment owner from http://www.budapest.hoteltargets.com (we booked here).
He was FANTASTIC: bought for us best sightseing tours, arranged tickets for Szentendre boat trip, suggested non touristic Hungarian restaurants etc, etc. I think we was lucky that we had a touch with native and very helpful person. It's really highlighted our holiday! We lived in wonderful 5* Golden Stars Apartment. Within the block was a wine cellar called "Bor Labor". Must visit if you like excellent hungarian wines...

You have to try the fruit soup in Budapest. It was divine and I was quite addicted! Peach was the best!
