Prague Airport to central Prague

Hi,

Could anyone tell me what options I have with regards to getting to my central Prague hotel from the airport and approximate cost?

Thank you

I always take a taxi. It is 10 min and must be around 20 - 15 euros. I think there are trams or ... but for 10 bucks i don't bother.

lot longer than 10 minutes in a taxi, usually about 30 minutes and around 600-700kc.
Where exactly are you staying as my advice to public transport options would vary to where you are staying.I stay in the Dejvicka are the city so easy to get to and from the airport from there.
Private shuttleis a good idea again around 600kc but that is for up to 4 people, this company I have used on many ocassions

Štěpánská 33, Prague, 11000, Czech Republic is the address of the hotel. I believe this is quite central.

I always take a private car service arranged by my hotel, all the hotels I've stayed at in Prague have a driver they work with. The hotel I stay at charges about 32 euro each way (more like 800 CZK), which is totally worth it to me as I often pay more frm the airport in other cities. Taxis used to have a bad reputation, not sure if they still do, for ripping you off. It does take about 25-30 minutes to the center, say around Powder Gate.

Depends how much you need to scrimp on stuff like that.

We used this transfer company three or four weeks ago:

It was 590 CZK from the airport to a downtown Prague hotel. Easy to book, different payment options, and reliable.

dead easy by public transport. take the 119 bus from the airport to nadrazi Veleslavin (last stop) then into the Metro and take that to Mustek and then a short walk from there. total time will be around 40 minutes,119 bus runs every 10 minutes and metro every few minutes .
Buy 32kc ticket from the stand in the main foyer of the airport or from the machines in arrivals/baggage reclaim or beside the bus stop.make sure you validate the ticket in the yellow machines on the bus,no need to revalidate it in the metro, 32kc last for 90 minutes from when you first stamp it.

Jama bar actually run by an American guy called Max, great food and some top notch beers from some of the smaller breweries in the country, good for watching sport too.
You also have Rocky O'Riellys in the same street, probably the best Irish bar in the city with dozens of screen to watch sport,it is where I always head to if I watch to watch a specific football game, staff a great in there, food good and beer on, the moved from Budvar to staropramen as their main beer a while ago and I prefer Budvar.

Sorry if I was misleading. I always take a rental car and it seems to me so short a ride.
Follow Uncleguss advice seems he goes more often to Prague than my 1-2 times a year.

yeah I am in Prague at least 3 times a year, will be back there for New year.If using the metro when you get to Mustek there is a set of stairs on the platform take them and then the elevator and it takes you right onto Wenseslas square the street you want will be further up the square on your right.
it might be slightly quicker going to the Muzuem stop but there is work going on at the station there and the metro is not stopping in that direction only in the other direction.
