Prague Airport
Recently heard it is the worst airport in europe in regards to flight cncellations, delays, etc. Can anyone shed any light on this.
|
I thought Heathrow held the record. It certainly gets my vote.
|
I have flow in and out of there on many occasions and my worst delay has been 1 hour, even flying in and out during the floods of 2002 I had no delays.

you have not been watching this have you? |
I think LHR and CDG are by far the worst airports in europe in terms of delays and just general inconvenience.
The airport in Prague is small and quite well-organized. It might have more weather delays in winter than some of the others - but I've never heard of any massive general delays. |
Loved the video! I thought it was a very easy airport, barring bad weather, 99% of delays fall on the airlines, IMO. If you have an early morning flight, grab a coffee at your hotel as everything was closed between 6 and 7 am.

That "news" piece has been posted on other forums. It's from Onion News Network so consider the source.

Sorry, but JFK gets my vote for most delays and sitting on the runway waiting to take off.
I have only flown in and out of Prague Airport twice and the flights were on time. Thin |
Don't know, I've flown in and out of Prague twice and never had any problems. It seems unlikely to me, given it's a smaller one.

Thank you all. Very helpful

I'm voting for Chicago as the worst.
It's been a few years but I flown into Prague twice- no problems. Seems to be a trend, one needs to return to Prague. |
It may not be the worst but the airport was built in an area west of Prague which is prone to fog, especially in the winter time which is probably why flights later in the day experience delays.

I can take CDG and LHR but spare me LaGuardia..
