Prado tours

Does anyone have experience with guided tours of the Prado or with the Prado audioguides ?

We took a guided tour of the Prado from one of the guides at the entrance. In 2000 it cost about $50 or so for two. It was very informative and the guide spoke understandable English. Haven't used the audioguides.

About 2 years ago, I remember taking a day-long guided bus tour of Madrid which included stop-and-walk tours and entrance to the Palacio Real and the Prado, complete with good English-speaking guides.

We merely inquired with the hotel concierge and requested a booking.

I'm sorry but I can't remember how much it cost, but I thought it was reasonably cheap.

It was reasonably cheap.

Hi

Yes we used the audio guides at the Prado. We found them quite adequate and easy to use.

We were in the Prado 2 years ago and took one of the art historians from the front desk . She was excellent and we we used her again after lunch . We did Velaquez and Goya before lunch and did the highlights after. I cannot remember the fee.
