posting problems on Fodor
 

Is anyone else as frustrated as I am concerning posting on Fodors. Often I post a response to someone's query and find myself back at the general listings.. then I have to punch in my country of interest and scroll down to where I was before I responded.

If you end up back at general listings hit the "back button" a few times and you should get back to your country of interest

Yes, it has happened to me a couple of times.

Actually, that's the way it is set up. I wasn't aware until recently as I never browse by country, but rather through all the Europe posts. But when you are browsing country by country, after posting, the site will always return you to the general Europe category.

My impression may be the same as Patrick's - - that "everybody" (not literally) "always" just browses the entire Europe forum... so frustration over this problem just wouldn't ever occur to me.

Based on my limited test just now, the "back" button does NOT return you to where you want to be.

A workaround is to open a new window. When you arrive at a post where you want to respond - - just right click on its message header, and open a new window for posting your reply. Then your original window will be just where you left it once you are done.
