Post Your OCTOBER 2004 Travel Plans Here!
Well, let's try this again...
The idea is to share your OCTOBER travel plans...as you wish. Any travel, not just to Europe, involving a suitcase or even a day trip is fine to share.
I'll go first:
1)Its CRUSH in California so I have 5 single day trips to various wineries in Sonoma County.
2)Ashland, Oregon for The Shakespeare Festival...4 nights.
3)Beverly Hills for a HUGE wedding...2 nights
4)San Francisco for Halloween...1 night
5)Pebble Beach to "clean-up" our summer rental for our family fall visits and election night(oops...thats early Nov.)...2 nights
Your Turn...

Sounds like a good list! Just a couple of weeks to go for us. Into Budapest for a few days, then wandering aimlessly for a couple of weeks by car in Romania (Transylvania, Bucovina, Marmures and Banat) and NE Hungary (Eger, etc).
Finally, I have something to report on one of these threads.

You'll laugh at me, but... Two Germans who recently moved to the South of the US:
We had planned on flying to Grand Bahama Island for the first week in October. And then we found out that probably (but only probably) the airport will be working again from the first of October on. Also, the majority of hotels is closed until next year because of the hurricane damages.
Ah, that's why the prices were so low... ;-)
Anyways, now we're getting to know two of cities in the East, splitting our week between Washington DC and New York City!

Beach and sunset walks in Naples, Florida. Bicycling in the Everglades.
Relaxing.
All within my neighborhood. Unfortunately my travel money is blown for this year. Thank goodness I live in a nice place to enjoy.

I got a jazz festival the weekend of the 14th in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.(actually with most of my friends that went barging in Burgundy!...wee tie in there...hehehe)
My European travel budget has been blown out of the water too... at least for this fall...but maybe Spring will be even better coz I'm going to focus on the Loire next time, after a Paris fix of a couple of days.

Ray and I are off to a big family campout at Chickasaw National Recreation Area near Sulpher, OK. It's this week-end (Oct 1 & 2). Can't wait to get out of the city!
We are tent camping, but Dad is bringing his RV. Anyone ever do a baked Alaska dessert in an RV oven?
