Possible 8 day Iceland Itinerary
 

Looking for feedback on this possible itinerary for end of August/early September:

Day 1 - Explore Reykjavik for day (spend one night)
Day 2 -4 - Head to Ferry Baldur for 3pm ferry to Western Fjords. Spend one night in Foss Hotel, explore fjords, spend nights 3 and 4 at Hotel Isafjorar to continue exploring Western Fjords
Day 5-7 - Long day of travel down to Selfoss and stay as home base for exploring the south and Golden Circle (choosing between Hotel Ranga and UMI Hotel)
Day 8 - end with splurging at The Retreat - Blue Lagoon Spa

That sounds like fun, did you end up taking this trip?
