Positano with kids?

We are just beginning research on a dream trip to Italy, perhaps based in Positano. Our 2 boys will be 4.5 and 11 yrs. old. Does anyone have experience with vacationing with kids there? My husband wants to stay at San Pietro, but I'm afraid that it doesn't look altogether kid friendly. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Not sure if it kid friendly either. I will say that Denzel Washington takes his family to Positano and stays at Covo Dei Saraceni. May be more kid friendly. We are going in Sept and staying at Le Sirenuse. Will visit San Pietro - which was booked at that time.

Liz
