Positano in October?

What is the weather like in Positano in October? I'm just wondering if it's worth the trip for my 40th birthday if we can only spend a 2 or 3 days in Positano. Or should we save the frequent flyer miles for next summer?

Hi Mom,

When in Oct?

We were there for the 1st wk of Oct, 2003. Weather was Summery, except for rain on the first and last days.

I would definitely go to Positano in October rather than the summer. In October the weather is much better and the crowds aren't there. Hands down!

Let me be the first to dissent-we were there last year from Oct. 4-7 and it was cold and rainy, rainy and cold. Our hotel owner stated that this was not unusual weather for October. As she put it "summers over, so's the beach." It didn't ruin our time there but the boat to Capri didn't run b/c of rough seas so we weren't able to go there.

I would not spend my miles for less than a 10 day stay.
