Positano in October
 

Is Positano worth going to if the weather is mid/low 70's ? We are planning to be there October 5th -October 9th

Positano will still be good to visit in early October and with any luck the weather will also be good. However, it's weather and I've known storms on the AC in late September and also mid 80's at the same time of the year. The upshot is that you'll have to play it by ear.

If it's too cold, don't swim, if it isn't too cold, swim!

Watching the weather and playing it by ear are the way of life in the south of Europe, so chill out, watch the weather and play it by ear. If what you hope to happen doesn't happen, well....think of something else. IMO, this is exactly why people from hurried countries should visit places like this...to learn that you can't always count on anything, you have to be relaxed and open to other scenarios, and you have to leave behind the idea that you can plan each day to suit yourselves. That's why people in these parts live long lives.

Our family was in Positano up to October 15 and we swam - lovely time of the year.
