Positano: hotel recommendations needed!

Hi,

I was hoping you could help me with some hotel/B&B recommendations for Positano in late September. I'm looking to book this week. We would like a view of the water, and close access to beach and shops/restaurants.

Thank you!

Not Positano, but nearby is Onda Verde. Right on the coast road near Priano and six or eight km from both Amalfi and Positano. Have stayed there twice and enjoyed both stays. Google.

There are lots of great hotels in Positano (IMO you want to stay in town, not out of town, for ease of transportation) but we need to know your budget in euros before we can give recommendations.

You can also use www.venere.com to search based on price, location, etc.

How long will you be staying?

We love the Covo dei Saraceni. It's right on the beach and has lovely balconies overlooking the beach action. It's gotten pricey but as a splurge I think it's definitely worth it. It made Positano one of our all time favorite destinations.

Other good places can be seen on booking.com Have a wonderful time wherever you stay

Loved #1 above, Villa Rosa; spectacular views of both sea and mountains from our private terrace, where we were served breakfast.

We found a place called Le Ghiande...fantastic views and the lowest rating we found was a 95...so they must be doing things right.

Palazzo Murat http://www.palazzomurat.it: quiet, romantic and with an amazing view on the sea and over Positano's roofs. The Palace can only be seen by the sea.
