First-time visitors to Positano gawking at pictures on websites narrowed it to 3 choices: Villa La Tartana, Villa Flavio Gioia and La Rosa dei Venti. Anyone with good experiences with these, please enlighten this couple!<BR>

Consider Hotel Pupetto which is at Positano on the beach but slightly to one side so it is reasonably quiet. www.hotelpupetto.it Rates are good and I was strongly recommended hotel by a relation who stays there each year when visiting area.<BR>Ian

Just got back from Villa La Tartana. It was a bargain - $140 per nite for a huge suite - 2 complete rooms! It is near the beach so if you like that, it works. There is no view of the town if you like that, so I would suggest their sister hotel Villa Rosa, which is around 130 Euro per nite. Hopes this helps!

Wow, surprised to read the Villa Rosa is now 130 euros; stayed there last end of May, and paid less than $100. Loved it and would highly recommend. View is spectacular, esp. from your own private terrace where breakfast is served each morning!
