You many not be getting many replies because your posts are in all caps... that is considered shouting on this forum.
I've heard that to experience Capri, one should stay at least a couple of nights because the place is a madhouse of daytrippers during the day.

We were in Positano for 3 nights and Capri for 5 and felt that that was about right. If you like walking, going all around the island of Capri can take several days-with a day for Anacapri and the Villa San Michele and s half day for the Blue Grotto [longer if the weather doesn't cooperate].

We stayed at L'Ancora in Positano and loved it (we were there three days). It is right next door to La Sireneuse and shares the same views!
We did a day trip from Sorrento to Capri (first ferry over and last ferry back) and were satisfied with that. While there may have been a lot of day trippers there, we chose to hike out of the towns and enjoyed solitude most of the time (this was in late May). We stayed in Sorrento for three days also.

I am in agreement with daph that you need a few days to really experience and appreciate Capri. There is alot more to that island than what you can do on a day trip. We loved it there and met alot of people that were there because of the hiking trails. We stayed a Mamela because of the recommendations here and we liked it very much. La Palma looked very nice. Search the forum to check if anyone gave a review. Enjoy your trip!
