Positano - 2 beds/room?

We are looking for a place to stay in Positano that can accomodate 4 adult family members who all prefer separte beds. Is it true when they say 'double room' that it means one double bed? If we could find a place with 2 single beds or 2 double beds we could book 2 rooms. We would love a place that is less than 10 minutes walk into town and not as high priced as Le Sirenuse. We like the looks of Hotel Posiedon, but it appears that it has only 1 double bed/room, making the cost too high. We are open to B&B's as well.

You should find a hotel you like the looks of and email them directly. Ask if they have rooms with 2 twins, that you are 4 adults and need 4 beds.
We are still looking for a place to stay in Positano in June. But we have had really good response from all the hotels on our itinerary by contacting direct by email. GL

I can assure you that the Hotel Poseidon can provide rooms with two single beds. My friends had one while we had a room with a double bed. Just ask them; I found them to be wonderful to deal with.

And if you stay there, please have dinner. It is a real treat.

Well, wherever you stay, you ought to have dinner. :)

I would ask The Poseidon about their double beds. As I recall, the double bed we had was simply two twins pushed together.

For four adults, you're looking for a "quad room", or a "family room" with enough beds for 4 people.
