I just checked the 10 day forecast. It looks like rain for our day trip into the douro valley. Would it still make sense?

Hi, MFNYC,

I wouldn't go if it's a heavy rain, but I bet there's a good chance it won't be. A little drizzle or occasional rain won't ruin things, IMO. I always watch the 10 day forecasts too, but have found that they are usually wrong. You'll have a much better sense the night before, so I wouldn't give up on it yet! Laurie

We are leaving this Thursday (10/7), arriving Friday morning. As of 10, the forecast is for heavy rain on Friday, and just "rain" on saturday and sunday! We currently are pikcing up a car at the airport on Friday, so we can use it early Saturday morning, but if weather doesn't look good, we may put off getting the car until Sunday, when we leave Porto, and skip a day in the valley.
