Portugal trip 11 days
I am planning a trip to Portugal with my sister to celebrate my chemo being over. I want a leisurely pace and just want to enjoy the culture and people. I wish to spend several days in Lisbon, but am trying to decide whether Porto is worth the travel and time. I would like to take the train and river cruise along the duro and spend the night somewhere along that area. Can anyone suggest an itinerary for us and hotels. I was wondering if we should get an apartment in Lisbon during that time maybe in the chiado area?

With 11 days you could see a lot staying in Lisbon and Porto.
From Lisbon you can see Lisbon, Sintra, Evora, cascais as day trips.
We spent a day in Porto and even though it was raining we loved it. We didn't do a river cruise but I am sure someone else can help there.

@jamikins -- I did read your report. Was your trip 2 weeks? I sort of lost the days --there was a day 13, was that the last? Which of your hotels might your recommend? One of them I tried to look up, Casa Rosden seems to be out of business or I couldn't find it. Was Tomar a good base? thanks!
