Portugal Itinerary - What do you think?
 

We are a family of 2 adults and 3 kids ages 15,11 & 8. We will be in Portugal for 14 days. If anyone has suggestions for our itinerary I would appreciate it. Still looking for hotels. We may need 2 rooms so I am trying to keep costs down.
June 19 Arrive Lisbon 21:00 stay near airport? rent a car at airport
June 20 drive to Salema where we will stay 8 nights (We love the Beach!)with day trips to Tavira, Sagres.
June 28 drive to Evora stay one night(considered Monsaraz also but probably not time to do both)
June 29 drive to Fatima then Sintra stay 1 night
June 30 to Lisbon for 2 nights
Leave Lisbon July 3rd at 7:40am

Sarasara - what I think is that you should repost this in the "Things to do in and around Lisbon" thread where apparently there are some experts on Portugal. (Haven't met any of them yet though! ;-)"

So many of the places you have mentioned previously discussed.

thanks matt I will repost. I wasn't sure I should post this there because I am most interested in info on Evora, Fatima and Sintra. I have read that thread and have gotten alot of good info on Lisbon. Laartista: Sorry but I am relatively new to this and don't have any idea what "ttt" means. Could you clarify?

The Lisbon thread has morphed into one now covering Portugal. TTT means "To the top" - it's a way of bringing your Question back to the top of the list for more people to see it.

Or you could just use a . Once a new addition is made to a thread it immediately gets bounced to the top of the list again.

great itinerary! You will enjoy Salema. By the way, our favorite restaurant is a small restaurant owned by a german couple located on the beach.....sorry I forgot the name. There are other bigger restaurants but I wasn't too crazy about them. Don't miss to see the dinousaur footprints....they are on a rock on Salema beach as well. And when the tide goes down....you can just walk for miles along the beach......I wish I could be there.
