Portugal and Spain for honeymoon

We are planning to go to Portugal and Spain for our honeymoon in April but have no idea where to go. We want to do relaxing yet still experience the culture. We don't want to do more than one big city and would like to spend some time on the coast. Any recommendations for the itinerary? How is the weather in Portugal during April?

Yes, changed gears from Hawaii. Planning a honeymoon is a big decision and we switched gears. Thanks for the tip. You must read all the post all the time. Any good travel tips for Spain and Portugal?

Big cities there is only Madrid and Barcelona. Madrid is more Roman and Barcelona is more barroc and modern. In my opinion Barcelona is pretier.

About the coast since you are planing on going to Portugal there is not pretier coast than the western coast of Spain which is right next to and on top of Portugal. That area is called Galicia and all of it is beautiful and the food beyond this world.
