Portugal

Hi
I booked 3 full days in Porto. Is it enough for Porto. I Don't plan to go around Porto because of weather in December.I have time from 12/20 to 12/25 . I plan to go to Coimbra and Evora. I need an advice. On 12/25 I will go to Lisbon.
I need an advice.
Thank you

More than enough.
We did half a day in Porto and one day around on the Duri.
You might want to do a tour too - it is a gorgeous region.

We spent three full days in Porto at the end of our 16 Portugal trip and I thought it was fine! Glad you’re including Evora- overnight if you can. We just spent an enjoyable day in Coimbra too. Enjoy your trip!

Nearly everything, including most restaurants, will be closed 25 Dec., so plan accordingly.

If just 5 days total I'd stay 2 nights in Porto and stop in Coimbra en route to Lisbon by train or car - Evora is not on the way to Lisbon but southeast of it - could be a day trip from Lisbon. Trains are great to all those places - for lots on Portugal's trains check www.seat61.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.

Obidos, a perfectly ramparted medieval small town, could be a nice stop before Lison.

Otherwise with 5 days I think 4 in Porto would be too much for many but there are easy day trips like to Guimares and Braga - two famous cities with Portugeuse -by train and even in December worthwhile.

Re: Lisboa and Christmas - While that was true in the past, with the skyrocketing tourism, restaurateurs know that there are a lot of hungry people in the city. Last year I was downtown on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and while by no means was everything open, there was no shortage of places to eat.
