Portobello/Tower of London

Strange combo huh? Well here is the deal, original plan is to go to Tower of London on Friday and do Portobello on Saturday morning...but just go an email that gave the impression I should go to Portobello on FRIDAY instead...what do you all think...how is Portobello on Friday...my source says good cheap stuff between Westborne Grove and Golbourne Road...

and.....If we do the Tower on Saturday will that be crazy..will it be really crowded? Thanks for your opinions!

As far as I know, the Portobello Market is on Saturdays only. But there are some shops in that area that are open on other days as well as on Saturdays.
To avoid potential waiting in lines at The Tower on Saturday be there when it first opens and if you want to see the Crown Jewels do that before you go into any of the other buildings.
How soon are you going?
Went to the tower on a Sunday afternoon and there were no lines (9th of February).
I think it depends on the time of year and how much you want to see the tower vs. shopping. Also if you want to take a tour of the tower, they are not given in the rain so plan for that as well.

If you want the "market" atmosphere at P. Road you need to go really early Saturday morning. On other days it is just a street of shops. Saturday is the market day.

We are going in just a couple of days sooo maybe the Tower won't be too crowded! Thanks for all of the advice!
