Porto Wine/Port Tasting
 

We will be in Porto this week. Any advice on Port Tastings in Gaia? Do you recommend doing a tour or just visiting on our own?

In Gaia, we've done the self guided tour and tasting at Taylor and the guided tour and tasting at Graham's followed by meals with splendid views of Porto. There's also the World of Wine (the WOW), plus many more port lodges but the first two are the ones we've most enjoyed, for the tours, the views, the tastings and the dining.

Like Maribel, we also did the guided tour and tasting at Graham's and the self guided tour and tasting at Taylor's, with lunch in their restaurant Barão de Fladgate.

I also enjoyed the self guided tour and tasting at Taylor's. I found Taylor's tasting terrace a very pleasant place to relax for a while.
