Port of Southampton to London Centre?
We will be disembarking a cruise ship in Southampton and going to a hotel near Oxford Circus tube station.
What is the most convenient way? How much? When and where should we book?

Looking at that website, from Waterloo station you could either take a taxi or the Bakerloo tube to Oxford Circus.
From Victoria station you can also take a taxi or the Victoria line tube to Oxford Circus.
Hope this helps!

We took a cruise out of Southampton last year and used the Toolkit site to book a bus via Stonehenge. Megabus is also good, tickets at 1GBP if booked 45 days before date of travel, though of course you need to take a cab to and from the station at both ends. Check it out at

Do you want cheap, or quick, or convenient?
The most convenient is by pre-booked car, which will take you door to door. You should Google for hire cars with a Southampton base. There will be a selection of firms who specialise in journeys from cruise ships or to airports, and they will quote you a fixed price.
The quickest is probably by train from Southampton to London Waterloo. However, you will need a taxi to and from the station at each end, which will add to the journey time.
The cheapest will be by coach, either Megabus or National Express, with public transport or taxi at each end of the journey.
