Pope Gets A Head Start On Christmas - Midnight Mass at 10 p.m.
In case you were planning to attend Midnight Mass in Rome on Christmas Eve, move up your dinner reservations because the pope has moved it up a couple of hours to 10 p.m.

If you plan to attend midnight mass, you better have tickets. And if you have tickets and hope to get a seat, you better line up at St. Peter's at 7 pm.
Since no decent Roman restaurant opens for dinner before 7 pm, you better plan a big lunch on December 24.

And tickets for Midnight Mass are like gold dust, difficult to secure. Try contacting your diocese or bishop, or get in touch with Bishop's Office for US visitors in Rome with your request:

Santa Susanna church cannot help, and direct you to the Bishop's Office.
They will try, but demand greatly exceeds supply, so no guarantee can be given, as supply is wholly in the hand of the Vatican.
