Go to www.mappy.com for detailed directions. It's a short drive from Avignon.

There are a few buses to Remoulins, about a mile or two from the Pont du Gard. But in season you're better off asking locally about mini-buses that scoot out there from Avignon - ask the tourist office if your hotel doesn't know. Otherwsie the bridge, one of the most mesmerizing sights i've ever seen in Europe, is out in the middle of the sticks.

I, too, am sure you can get bus info at the Avignon tourist office. But no matter what it takes, you must get to Pont du Gard. It is truly astonishing from both an artistic and engineering standpoint. Along with the Pyramids, possibly the greatest man-made structure.

mcc, remember my post last year about the excursion autocars? I told you they go to the Pont du Gard and Nimes on one day, Godes and Roussilon on another. The day schedule maybe changed since that time. They are located also at the cour de la gare.
