why is it that threads like this get tons of response but i cant get the name of a good restaurant in paris or copenhagen??

Richard, maybe it is because there are already hundreds, no make that THOUSANDS, of posts about recommendation for Paris restaurants. If you enter Paris restaurant in the search function you will find enough to keep you busy for days. There are fewer for Copenhagen, but I'm sure some. Meanwhile as you can tell from this little poll, there will always be a lot more information about Italy and France than about anywhere else, including Copenhagen.

And I guess I didn't understand this poll. I was simply thinking the number referred to the poster, not to the total number of people going. That throws everything off!!

And I see that you have not merely asked for Paris recommendations, but you have posted lists of sites for them yourself as well as listed your favorites -- some of those posts within major threads of other recommendations.
