Has anyone dined there?

looks like a no, but the reviews on TA aren't bad, to the extent that i might give it a go on our trip to Paris in a couple of week's time.

Can't help with Polidor but you reminded me of Perraudin which was wonderful and in that general area.

I eat at Polidor every time I'm in Paris although I don't like it as much as I used to as the ambiance has changed in the past few years.

Beef burgundy is one of the best things on the menu. Stay away from the scrawny roast chicken and guinea fowl. They now serve creamy mashed potatoes with many plats where they used to served beans or boiled potatoes. I used to like the lamb with white beans but don't see that on the menu.

Lemon tart is good as is the tarte tatin.

They're known for their pumpkin soup although I have not tried it. The starters I used to order are no longer on the menu.

Basically it's a decent, inexpensive restaurant that opens early (7:00). I don't think they take reservations so go early if you don't want to wait for a table. It fills up quickly.

On our list last time, but didn't make it. Sorry. However, for what it is worth, I think this, or a facsimile, was featured in the movie Midnight in Paris.

It's a lot of tourists, but a sprinkling of French.

Food is good, not great but for the price you shouldn't expect gourmet :) Be sure to look around. Lots of cool things to see

More for atmosphere than for quality of the food.

Nice place, inexpensive and pretty good country style food.

The tables are pushed together (like a beer hall) so you always end up getting to know neighbors (everyone seems to have some English language).

Great atmosphere and convenient location to lots of tourists sites.

Also, unless things have changed Polidor is cash-only (no credit cards). On one occasion we had to run out to the nearest ATM to withdraw some euros as we did not have enough on hand.

kanadjin -- glad you mentioned that. It's good for people to know ahead of time. We had to leave the restaurant and come back because we didn't have cash.

Another thing is I believe they only have the turkish type toilets, which are definitely not easy for women to use. After dinner I had to hunt out more modern facilities. Think we found something in Luxembourg gardens.

We went twice several years ago; we had a very simple but tasty chicken veloute dish served over mashed potatoes. Ordered it again the seond visit but it wasn't as good as the potatoes weren't heated through.

Glad to know about the turkish toilets.
