Points problem w/. Hilton

After being told we could use points for a stay at any of their London hotels, my husband transferred a large number of points from AMEX to Hilton. Now they are telling use we can't use the points for the week we will be in London for the Trafalfar Hilton. Is there anything we can do to get the points transferred back to AMEX? Where else would anyone recommend to stay? How about the Ritz?

There are many hiltons in London - Some are preferable to Trafalgar square. Try one of the others.

You might try asking for advice of the "Hilton HHonors" group on the FlyerTalk website. There is a very large concentration of Hilton HHonors experts that monitor this forum, so you might get some useful advice, either for your upcoming trip or a future visit. In particular, there is a summary "thread" discussing all London hiltons.

You cannot do a reverse transfer back to Amex membership rewards. Did you check your specific property and dates first? It's crucial to secure your award reservations before making your point transfer. Is there another Hilton in London that you could try?

Hilton reversed all points except for two nights worth at the Trafalgar H back to AMEX. I was looking at The Chesterfield Mayfair. It has some very good reviews. How does that compare to the Hilton? Thanks.
