Pleeease - need help with Italy Trip
 

I am going to Italy on Dec 31st - 3 days in Rome and 2 in Venice. we are a family of 5 - me, my DH and 3 young teens. Would appreciate any advice on itinerary or hotels.By the way we are going to London to visit family 10 days before this trip so there will not be any jet lag.

Hi we were hoping to sepen around 150-200 euros a night - we do want something nice and fairly central though. I have had a quote from Loceanda Orseolo in Venice for about 250 euros a night.

You might consider looking into apartment rentals, since there are 5 of you.

Of course the problem is the short-term stay, but some apts. accept short-term rentals. Also, we've found that sometimes the cost of committing to an apt. for a week, even if you only stay 3 days, is still cheaper than getting hotel rooms, particularly in an expensive spot like Rome.
