Please share your favorite Paris and London souvenir/product websites ...
I have just returned from an incredible 10 day trip to London & Paris! As I travelled home, I regrettably thought about things I wish I had bought. We limited shopping so we could spend most of our 3.5 days in each city sightseeing. Now, I am sorry I didn't shop more and would like to buy some momentos online. I conducted a search here but didn't come up with much.
That leads to my question of what websites do you visit to buy things online that remind you of your Paris/London visits? Thanks & I will report on my trip soon!! |
Fragonard is produced in Eze but does have a shop in Paris:
http://www.fragonard.com/en_index.htm This should be an interesting thread. Good idea but I wonder how many things can also be bought in the US such as L'Occitane. Anyone find a site for Eiffel handbags? |
I began by asking myself which shops in tourist places I have liked, then I looked for web sites.
You would enjoy the London Transport Museum gift page at http://www.ltmuseum.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh...AA483817484303 On the left the panel for shopping is good at posters, models and dolls. To my kind the models are the best buys, but tastes differ. E bay UK, at http://pages.ebay.co.uk/index.html, then London Transport, gives a wider if stranger range of goods. Then the National Trust at http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/shopping/ has pages of interest: I think of the heading Gifts for the Home, then Linens, Mugs and Mats, Storage, and Teapots English Heritage keep an online shop at http://www.english-heritageshop.co.uk/ I like the goods in Ancestral Homes (no, they won t sell you a castle) and Celtic I wish you happy memories. For Paris, there is the National Museum boutique: http://boutique.louvre.fr/en/accueil.asp
Oliviers & Co. has good olive oil products: http://www.oliviersandco.com/ Here are two sites with a variety of French things: www.pierredeux.com and www.frenchinspirations.com |
That is so funny- I did the same thing. First, I spent all of my money on my trip (I took my adult daughter for her first trip to Europe -visiting London and Paris). Second, my suitcase was full and heavy. After I returned, I went to the World Showcase at Epcot, living only 45 minutes from the Disney complex, and bought items for gifts at the English and French pavilions! Go to the BBC site and to http://frenchcountryliving.com/. Happy shopping!

I love Cadbury chocolates and wish I would have brought more back from London. On the way back to the states, I purchased a package of Cadbury Chocolate covered nuts at Gatwick. Well, my husband and I had eaten over half of it by the time we got home. Dumb me only bought 1! Is there any way I can order more of these??
|
HArrod's has a website
|
Thanks Scarlett!! I will check the site..:)
|
Kismet, the site I posted for Musees Nationaux is good for Orsay also.
|
These are great suggestions and I will give them a try. Does anyone have any idea on how I would get one of those All London red souvenir books that you see at all the tourist spots - I always pick one up to supplement my photos? How about small London watercolors or prints? So sad today as back to work I go!

It has little to do with London or Paris, but I drool over the beautiful Norwegian sweaters sold online at http://www.sweater.no/ :-D

Here are some for Britain. Good luck with the Cadbury; I agree it is much better than in the U.S.

I enjoyed some foreign things from the places in Las Vegas. Found a wonderful Venetian glass ring at "The Venetian", and some French items that did not say "Las Vegas" from Paris....
|
Grandmere, thanks for the webbsite..I love the recipes!! merci bien Grandmama!!:)
LVSue, I can get through the museum webbsite, maybe the address is too long? |
This summer I was surprised to see a Oliviers & Co in Grand Central Station in NYC!!!!! They had everything including soap and handlotion.

My husband can't live without the [sandalwood] shaving cream from
www.tayloroldbondstreet.co.uk/. We didn't want to haul it to France, etc. as we did on our last trip so will have to order some by mail and the postage costs half again as much the the cream, but it is devine. |
Carolyn,
Thanks for the websites for British foods! Hopefully, I'll get my Cadbury fix soon! |
