please, please help - I'm trying to send a fax

I have a 10 diget fax number to a business in Nice - how do I send it on from the USA? Don't I need to add 011 -39 before the 10 digets that I have? Thank you if you are able to help me. 1jan1
You dial 011-33, then a 9-digit number. If you have a 10-digit number beginning with zero, omit the zero.

From the destinations section here on Fodors:

"Telephones
The country code for France is 33. All phone numbers in France have a two-digit prefix determined by zone: Paris and the Ile de France, 01; the northwest, 02; the northeast, 03; the southeast, 04; and the southwest, 05. Numbers beginning with 08 are either toll-free or toll calls (with an additional charge on top of making the call). To make calls in the same city or town, or in the same region, dial the full 10-digit number."

Therefore, if you are calling from the U.S., you'd dial 011-33, and then the 10-digit number of the business.

Not sure what country uses 39 as the country code....
Oops, St. Cirq is correct; omit the leading zero of the "local" number.
