Please offer hotel suggestions for Avignon and Lyon
 

Please recommend lodging in both of these cities. Thank you.

Please give us an idea of what price range you're talking about--budget, moderate, or luxury, etc.

Sue-I'm looking for moderate price range, maybe $125 a night.

If you'll be in either place for a weekend, call the tourist office and ask about the weekend specials for hotels (2 nights for the price of one). Some hotels in Lyon participate -- not sure about Avignon, but I would expect so. If you have time, you may be able to have the brochure sent to you.<BR><BR>

We stayed at Hotel des Artistes in Lyon, which is centrally located, right across the street from the theatre/opera house. It was pleasant, comfortable, reasonably priced,and was decorated with lots of pix of actors, actresses who had stayed there. Check it out on google.
