Please help with Italy Question

I need to fax some information to a hotel in Venice and would like to find out what prefix numbers I need to dial prior to the Venice #. The fax will be sent from the U.S.<BR><BR>Thank you!

011-30+ the city code for Venice and then the number. Often if their is a zero in front of the city code, usually you drop it ex: 06371-is good locally but from the states you drop the zero so it is 6371. This is the city code for the city I live in, in Germany. O11 is the international operator, 30 is the country code for Italy and the rest is up to you.

Isn't the Italy code 39?

There is no area code in Italy anymore. Dial all ten (sometimes nine to confuse us) digits, including the initial 0, also in Venice. <BR>

You may want to bookmark this website for just this situation:<BR><BR>www.countrycallingcodes.com<BR>< BR>I can't absolutely vouch for the accuracy of the info (since things change constantly) but good luck!<BR><BR>Deb

There are still area codes in Italy! Only that you cha to dial them all the times even if you are in the same area you are calling to.
