Not too warm--I would guess about 72.

Last year in late May/early June, you could definitely swim. The water temp at Kamari Beach (Santorini) was much cooler than the Caribbean but it was refreshing, given how hot the black pebble beach got in the afternoon sun!

probably just about warm enough to swim but if not, use one of the many hotel pools.

The temperature for that time of the year will be just great. I was in Santorini last summer from 1st May to end of the month. I am gonna go again this year and my greek friends tell me that everybody there says that they will have a very warm May. Of course in Greece summer always starts in May.I started swimming from the second day I was there. I can't say anything about Zante because I never really liked it. I was there for a day and left.<BR>If you decide to visit Santorini and you havent made a reservation try www.calderasight.gr. This is where I stayed and I loved it. It is built right on the caldera, with increadible view and it is very clean.
