Please, help to find in Milan
18 years ago, my wife and I accidentally found ourselves somewhere in the central part of Milan late at night. On some dark street we went into some restaurant.
It was one of the best dinners of our lives. We are going to Milan for a few days, I would like to find that restaurant, but I don’t remember its name or location. I remember that at the entrance area there was a collection of books, the publication of which was sponsored by this restaurant for many years. And in the dining hall there were paintings painted directly on the walls. And a delicious dinner. Please, tell me someone what kind of restaurant that was and where it is located. Thank you. |

Have you considered emailing Milan tourist information?

Do you have any photos of it or the area? Maybe try using them in Google Lens search.

Thanks, but seems no... (((
Again, what I remember : - At the reception area there were bookcases with books signed by authors, publishing of which was sponsored by this restaurant; - Further there was a glass arched corridor through the kitchen to the dining room (just remembered)))) - In a dining room there were paintings painted directly on walls, like frescoes - Central part of Milano Sorry... Many Milan restaurants from 18 years ago are simply gone, changed hands, changed chefs or have been significantly altered. I've had the failed experiences of trying to revisit restaurants in Milan we enjoyed on earlier trips, and that's knowing names and locations. More than most cities, I feel the Milan restaurant scene is a bit different every time we're there. Maybe it's because Milan is one of the biggest convention/trade show/exhibition cities in the world.
But do you remember anything about where the restaurant was... had you come from seeing/visiting something?... distance/direction from your hotel?... etc. Was there anything unique about or on the menu? High prices or mid-range? |
