Please help me post my photos!
Hi,
I am no good on a computer for fiddly things - you can forgive an old lady? I have succesfully created a KODAK photo album, but they keep asking me to put in an email address if I want to share it! H E L P! |
Hi tod-
Are you trying to just post a web address of your album so people (like those hear) can look at them? Or are you trying to share the album by sending emails directly to your friends? |
Katie,
How kind of you to respond so quickly! I am trying to post the photos on the Fodors forum so that it ties up with my on going trip report " A Springtime stroll through Paris" I hope someone can help me click/push/prod/...the right button! |
I'm not sure I did that for my own kodak album, but if you enter your own address you'll receive a link you can post here. If it works don't post a long link but put it in tinyurl.com to shorten it.
Here is mine http://tinyurl.com/okerl Good luck :-) |
Tod-
What I do is 'share' the album with my email address as the recipient. Once you get that link in your email, then copy the full link into tinyurl.com like coco mentioned. That way you can just insert the shortened link into your current report. Hope this helps! |
Sherhatfield thank you for correcting my English, you said it clearlier than I did! :-)
|
Thank you Tod for asking that question as I had been wondering the same thing. But I'm not certain that I totally understand the instructions that have been given...but then I'm VERY "challenged" when it comes to anything beyond opening, creating and sending normal emails!
When you send your Kodak Gallery album to your own email address and copy the link to tinyurl...what exactly do you do at that point, how do you insert the link from your email to your posting on Fodor's? |
You cut and paste it into a post you make on Fodor's.
|
Thank you one all! I have put photos on the Forum before with 'Yahoo photos' but then they changed to 'Flikr' - all these 'photo share' sites like Photobucket etc., are a bit too advanced for me but, I am going to try the Coco & Sherhatfield method first -
St.Cirque, I am not familiar with cutting & pasting but it seems a short cut route so will get someone who is computer litterate to show me one of these days -thanks! |
I just found this which can help you with copy and paste
http://www.virtualgravy.com/copyandpaste.htm :-) |
tod - cutting and copying are two different tasks. Cutting removes the words from their original location and puts them in a new document. You want to copy because you want to retain the link in your email for you to use again.
