Please help me ID a Paris restaurant
This isn't much to go by but I thought I'd ask anyway.
I was looking for a hotel in the 11ème and happened upon one that was fairly small and didn't get the best reviews BUT mention was made of the excellent cafe in/next to the hotel. Area around Bastille, or Republique perhaps to be a bit more specific. All I remember is that it was small, run by a female chef whose name I think started with a Dand that the menu was ever changing based on what she found at the markets that day. Not much info I know, but thought it was worth a try. Thanks~ |
Perhaps Auberge Flora?????

So looking at a site for female chefs, this place came up near Bastille in the 11th. It is connected to a hotel of the same name:
Auberge Flora https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...de_France.html "The room was petite, but I loved the natural touches, neutral decor and the subtle chocolate scent from the room diffuser. The toiletries were top notch as well. I'd love to see them upgrade to key card entry and do a it more customer service training for the well- meaning front desk staff. The standout is the restaurant, from the Mariage Freres tea to the house wines to the specialties of the house, like the foie gras terrine with toasted brioche and the service by Stelly. I would definitely stay here again." It is closer to Bastille than Republique but kind of in between.... Flora Mikula is the name of the chef and the reviews do give better ratings to the restaurant than the hotel. |
You guys are the best!! Yes, that was indeed the hotel and cafe.
