Please help me choose my Paris Apartment

Hi,
Everyone on here has helped me so much with my plans that I thought I would see which apartment you feel would be best. For those who don't know I am travelling with my mum and 2 small children aged 2 and 4. We love to be central so we can go for short walks and then come back to the apartment etc. Ok many thanks Here they are:

Look forward to seeing your thoughts.

They are all beautiful, but my vote is for the Sylvaner apartment. I stayed in that neighborhood and loved it, but all your choices are great and ParisPerfect is a great agency. Second choice is Cardinal Lemoine apartment because I love the Latin Quarter. I find the 7th and the 6th nice but slightly generic or I should say generic for Paris.

oohhh thank you for your input!

Hi Crazy - I haven't read your other posts so I don't know how much information you've provided, but if it were me (and I planned to be travelling with two little ones), I would probably choose the Tresallier apartment.

Also I would automatically veto the Notre Dame apartment, because that internal winding staircase. (I almost just typed "scarecase," which is funny because that's what I think of it, if I were there with a 2 and 4 year-old!)

Anyway I would probably choose Tresallier because it looks lovely and the 6th is so central to everything. That apartment looks to be right at the St. Michel metro, which goes straight to CDG. (Although with small children it might be wise to take a cab to the hotel.) Aside from that, it's a very central location to lots of sights, the metro, and it's within walking distance to the lovely Tuilleries or Luxembourg parks. Plus I also like that it is all on one floor, so once you're in the apartment there are no stairs.

The Orleans apartment also looks really nice, in that same general area, close to Luxembourg, and would also give your children a nice place to play outdoors (if you plan to be there in the summer, this would be especially nice).

Cardinal Lemoine also looks lovely, I am partial to that neighborhood and I would bet that location is very peaceful and quiet in the evenings. However I've stayed in that neighborhood 3 or 4 times now and I always feel it's not quite as convenient to the metro (but it's no problem as I'm a big fan of walking, and really I think one gets spoiled in Paris, really no place is that far from the metro. But still.)

Sylvaner is also in the running, it looks really beautiful, with lots of light and it also looks to be all on one floor.

HI Luna Bella,
Thank you so much for your input.

Do you know that these apartments are available for your dates? You may want to contact the agencies and see what your options are.

crazyfamilyof4 Mar 18th, 2013 04:32 AM

HI Judy,
I believe these are available. But confirmation is only given once I book

Judy Mar 18th, 2013 05:32 AM

When we've dealt with Paris Perfect in the past they could let us know what apartments were available for our dates, realizing, of course, that they could be booked while we were making our decision. This allowed us to choose based on what we probably could book.....just made the decision process easier for us.

crazyfamilyof4 Mar 18th, 2013 05:34 AM

I have sent an email and they came back with that list. Maybe I am mistaken I will send another email to double check.

Judy Mar 18th, 2013 05:59 AM

I didn't understand that......sorry!

All of these apartments are beautiful. We are staying in a parisperfect apartment in December, the Clairette. We are staying in that area because it get dark so early and figured we might as well enjoy the light show of the Eiffel Tower every night! We stayed in a parisien flat apartment in the 6th last September. We loved the 6th. Very centrally located. We walked everywhere.
I love the Sylvaner but not sure about the bed situation. Are there enough beds for everyone? Maybe you are planning on a crib for your 2 yr old?
I personally think you would really enjoy the neighborhood near Luxembourg gardens with your children, but the Odeon is multi level and doesn't have a TV in the living room, if that's important. It has a real family feel to it, though.

crazyfamilyof4 Mar 22nd, 2013 06:11 PM

so . . . I went to book and none of these are available! Onto looking yet again

Doppio Mar 22nd, 2013 08:28 PM
