Please help: Hotels already booked near Venice train station

The two hotels recommended to me on this site near the Venice train station are already booked. They are the Hotel Florida and Hotel Continental. Does anyone know of any others. Thanks for your help!!!

I haven't stayed at these, but look into the Hotel Falier (recommended New York Times) www.hotelfalier.com
also
Locanda Leon Bianco
Hotel Marin
Minerva & Nettuno

search for comments on these here, or at tripadvisor.com

If you haven't already tried this site, go to it now, as it sets out clearly what hotels, at what prices, on what dates, are available :

Have you checked with Hotel Basilea? It's hardly 100 yards from the train station, on a little side canal. Just follow the signs set into the pavement, once you cross the bridge just in fron of the station.

This one is probably about a 12-minute walk or so - although I took the vaporetto.

Hi deb,

What's your budget?

This is a small (5 rooms, I think) hotel that is about 10 minutes walk from the train station: Casa Martini. Very nice venetian "palazzo" atmosphere and gracious and helpful owners. If you need a full service hotel you might not like it, but if you don't mind walking up a couple flights of stairs into a lovely little oasis of charm and comfort (can you tell I loved this place!) it could be for you.
