Please critique this Switzerland/France trip

We were going to have a very concentrated trip of 10 days in late July, staying in the Engadine and Lucerne areas only. Now I am thinking I want to cross off Lucerne and go visit our Friend near Grenoble and also return to Vezelay where we didn't have enough time last summer.

Cost is a factor and I was thrilled to see that we could rent a car for under $300 for five days from St. Moritz, returning it to Zurich airport (airline tickets are already purchased). Google Earth puts St. Moritz to Vezelay at 6 hours 47 minutes and at 663 kilometers. The return to Zurich is listed at 4 hours and 30 minutes and 466 kilometers. Would you say this is accurate--the estimated time especially? Would someone be able to estimate the cost of gas for such a trip? I know I should be able to do this myself, but I have no idea how much gas a small manual car holds, how much it will cost per liter, etc.

So the trip would be 4 nights in the Engadine (Palazzo Salis, Soglio), drive to our friend near Grenoble and spend 2 nights, drive to Vezelay and spend a night, and then 2 more nights with our friend before we return to the Zurich airport.

Sound okay?

Gas would cost you around 100 Euro for the approx. 1100 kms. If you
1) take a small and diesel powered car (ca. 6-6.5l/100km if you drive constantly between 100 and 130km/h.
2) fill-up off the highway. 1 l of diesel in Switzerland and France is between 1.20 and 1.30 Euro per litre.
The time Google gave you is ok if your speed is as a.m.

Thanks, wolfmisc. Sorry, but what does "as a.m." signify?

Sorry, above mentioned. I though you were familiar with English abbreviations.

Just filled up the car today. Diesel is close to SFr. 2 for one liter. Regular gas is a bit cheaper.
