Please critique my Ireland itinerary
 

I am helping my sister plan her honeymoon, and this is my first stab at an itinerary. They are planning to spend a couple days in Dublin, then drive mostly through the Southwest. They are interested in seeing as much as possible while they are there and basically want to move on to a new area each day (even though I advised them against this since it's so much packing and unpacking!). Please let me know if you think this itinerary is feasible and if you have any suggestions. Thanks very much.

25-Sep arrive Dublin early morning, spend day sightseeing, or just relax
26-Sep Dublin- sightsee
27-Sep depart Dublin, stop at Trim Castle on the way to Galway in the morning- take ferry to Aran islands spend the night in Aran islands
28-Sep spend morning in Aran Islands, afternooon- drive to Cliffs of Moher area and spend the night here
29-Sep Drive to Limerick area, spend the night. Maybe stay at Dromoland Castle for splurge
30-Sep Ring of Kerry Scenic Drive- stay in or near Kerry
1-Oct arrive in Kinsale, visit Charles Fort, spend the night
2-Oct depart Kinsale, visit Blarney Castle, visit Rock of Cashel and Kilkenney Castle, stay in KilKenney area
3-Oct drive to Dublin, depart on 2:30 pm flight

re: Ireland itinerary: stay longer in Kinsale-it's REALLY charming with great restaurants. Skip Blarney Castle it is soooooo touristy and really not worth it.

Leave Galway via Ballyvaughan onwards to Doolin through coastal route.

Consider Ballinalacken Country House or Burke's if she'd rather be in the hub.

Cliffs wont take long and take en route South. No hotel at cliffs - Liscannor closest village.
Consider using route on Shannon ferries web page.

Dromoland is beautiful - great grounds etc, but if you want to dine/pub it, beyond the hotel, you're very limited. Bunratty village and Quin village are close by.

Adare Manor is another option - hope it works out well.

Thanks so much, The Shannon Ferries route looks better, so I have cut out Limerick and instead added the Dingle Peninsula. My sister's fiance is set on going to see Blarney Castle, even if it is overrated!

27-Sep I would suggest stopping at Clonmacnois on way to Galway...less out of the way and a more interesting sight.

28-Sep They could stay in Doolin...some nice B&B choices and good pubs/music.

next day could drive down coast to Killimer-Tarbert Ferry across the Shannon then on to Dingle...be sure to drive Slea head loop.

30-Sept would suggest section of ROK from Killarney. Could include stops at Ross Castle and Muckross House. Drive thru the park past ladies view thru moll's gap to Kenmare...stay in Kenmare. Kenmare also has nice lodging options, good food and pubs.

1-Oct May want to check out part of Beara Peninsula via Healy Pass...very scenic.
