Please advise
We are planning a trip to Italy in the spring. Trying to figure out the best way to get from the Rome airport to Priano. Taking either the train, bus, or a driver. Taking the train means, Rome to Termini Station, to Naples, changing trains to Sorrento, then a bus to Priano. A bus, would not take as many changes, don't know how crowded they are. Has anyone used a driver?

Your very question has been answered here many times, check the Fodor search function (hopefully is is working).
A driver will cost from 300 to 400 euro. A train is cheap but there are alot of transfers as you know. A bus leaves once or twice a day, they are not overly crowded, everyone has a seat. If money isn't a concern I would use a driver (there are many recommended here). Second choice would be the train. My third would be renting a car. My fourth would be the bus only because it leaves from another station and has inconvenient times scheduled. |
Please see http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34534346 - - and take the messages there to heart. Then, re-post this question ASAP with a more appropriate mesasge header - - like "Seeking advice on the best way to get bus and/or train transportation from Rome airport to Praiano".
And note also, the spelling of Praiano. Best wishes, Rex |
Hi,
I do not know anything about buses to Praiano, but first you must take a train into Rome and then a train to Naples, and then a train to Sorrento and a bus to Praiano. If you can, fly into Naples. We did that coming from eastern usa. We had to change planes in Rome, but it made the trip easier. Good luck! You will have a fabulous trip. |
There's a bus that goes from Rome to the Amalfi Coast, and I think it might stop in Praiano. Again, lots of threads already here talk about this issue.
