Please advice Austria trip- thanks
 

We are going to Austria for 14 days, traveling from NYC to Vienna and
returning from Munich, this are the main places we want to visit

( two adult males 67/68 in good health and physical conditions)

Not sure in what order to structure the visit or for how long and where to stay

Overnight or for 2-3 days, any advice is very much welcome!

Melk - KremsDanube Valley (Melk to Krems and back) (

Salzburg via Mauthausen

Hallstattand SalzkammergutLake District (

Zell am see

Innsbruck and Tyrol;

You are basically going up the Danube from Melk to Linz, so I suggest not missing Wilhering monastery near Linz.

great suggestion, Do you suggest renting a car or doing a bit of trains and rental?

A car avoids working around public transportation schedules. We traveled by car.
