Plaza Lucchesi in Florence

I have reservations at the Plaza Lucchesi in Florence in Florence in Sept. Has anyone been there? Comments on rooms, location, service, etc. Thanks.

I am leaving for Italy on July 12th. We have reservations at the Plaza Lucchese for 3 night. I will be happy to share my opinion. Will be back on the 24th. Email me.
My travel agent has stayed there and loves the location.

We have stayed at the Plaza Lucchese and liked it very much. It is on the Arno upstream from the Ponte Vecchio. A bit of a walk into the center, but very pleasant and quieter. It was the first choice for us of our Italian cousins. I remember a lovely breakfast was part of the stay. Service super.

We have stayed there several time & love it!! Well located on the Arno. There is parking available for guests..got there a little late for lunch (3:00PM) and the dining room was closed. Had dinner there & breakfasts and heartily reccomend the Hotel. Can't remember the name of the Hostess but she remembered our names from 4 years before. About two bnlocks from Ufizzzi (sp) Palace & Duomo.

Carolyn & Margo,

I have reservations there in late Sept. Everything here sounds like I picked the right place. Margo: Mind if I email you, too?

Sherryl,

When in late Sept. are you going. What other hotels have you booked?

Sherryl Jun 18th, 2001 06:57 PM

Carolyn,

Staying at Royal Sporting in Portovenere, and Crowne Plaza Minerva in Rome. How about you? Any comments from anyone on these 2 hotels?
Sherryl: The Crowne Plaza Minerva (understand it is not a Crowne Plaza anymore) is wonderful, first class all the way. Great central location and don't miss the roof top view and enjoy a drink or dinner with views of all of Rome. The Plaza Lucchesi is at least a notch below the Minerva and in my opinion not centrally located. Enjoy.
